not a specific black and white question, but i figured the group would be able to help me out. i am printing on photo rag (196gsm super B) with an epson 2200, regular epson ink cartridges and ink. the printer was purchased in august and has been through a modest printing load, but certainly not a huge amount of prints or anything taxing. yesterday the printer started to fail to load sheets of paper through, and today has been more finicky. it is leaving two marks on the edge of the paper that loads through, even when it doesn't load the paper. i assume that the loading rollers are not grabbing the paper, either because they or the paper is getting too "polished." does ths seam reasonable? i have already made a call to epson service, which was nearly worthless, and they are sending out a replacement. that is good i suppose. any hints for keeping this from happening again? thanks, mike meyer michaelmeyerphoto.com
