I'll let others answer this. As with all "canned" profiles, there can be differences between printers. The more curves that are available, the better. The only problem I had with my 1280 was apparently due to the residual dye from the original color inkset on the pads causing nuisance clogs. The Eboni (matte) black is apparently affected by dyes.
