Do you know which black you are using? If it is the co-solvent black - that
ink has a nasty habit of drying out, even inside tubing of a CFS/CIS. I
tossed my co-solvent black & am now using the Eboni exclusively. You have to
order it from the UltraTone inkset, or specify it when you phone MIS.

Checking the 1160 with OEM Epson carts is good advice, too.
