thanks for all the pointers folks. I have sucked the nozzle with the fat syringe and gottten the black ink flow. I have also tried epson carts with great success - printed the 4 col purge pattern properly. And also the regular test pattern. But when I reconnect the quadtone inkset - back to same problem. From what you've said it could be dry ink in the tubes ?
