Hi Cara, If you're looking for some freeware, look at Irfanview at www.irfanview.com Once you have loaded a color file, click on Images then Convert to Greyscale. Of course Irfanview is limited, but it will get you started. Then there is a more elaborate graphic package at $49.95 called Picture Window Standard Edition from Digital Light & Color. www.dl-c.com Once you have made some b&w prints, look at them in different lights: sunlight, incadescent and fluorescent lighting. If the color changes with the lighting, you have metamerism. Also look at your print to see if there is a magenta or green cast. Making b&w prints with color inks will do that. This is a great group.
