Antara;

Are you perhaps using the Photo Black ink? That is the stock setup 
for the 2200 I believe, but Epson sells a matte black ink which gets 
a better Dmax on matte papers, including I would think the EEM. The 
stock Photo Black does much better, but only on the RC papers like 
premium luster and glossy.
