RE: [Digital BW] What is a Roark curve and how does one apply it?

2003-10-31 by John Swain

Don,

This is probably the best starting point.

http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/workflow_roark.html

Paul Roark is on this list and has always replied to me when I have emailed
him. I (like many others) owe Paul a great deal for his work.

In a previous note, John Swain stated:

<I am using
<- Mac OSX
<- Epson Print Driver
<- Roark NCA Curves
<-- MIS UT Inks

<My workflow is now:

<- Convert to 8 bit
<- Adjust levels in Adjustment Layers
<- Flatten
<- Unsharp mask
<- Apply Roark Curves
<- Print

<This is producing the best prints I have ever made,

So my question is this... where can one find the Roark curves, and
after finding them how does one apply them during the printing
process? thanks for any help here....

Don
