Well, if you're a bit of a geek, you can install Linux as a dual-boot on your windows machine, then use GIMP as your (free) editing program, and then connect into the same printing drivers used on the Mac. Definitely a lot more work, but certainly cheaper than buying an expensive Mac just for printing. BTW, the Mac G5/Panther is my first Mac experience since a failed Cube/OS9 experiment, and I have to say it is really excellent. I have seamless drive mapping to my WinXP machines (where I store all of my data), and use Microsoft Remote Desktop Client (RDC) for OS X to connect to my windows desktops seamlessly from the Mac. And...the new MAC OS is rock solid, and really grows on you. VERY cool overall! The Panther printer sharing between Mac and PC is supposed to be seamless too -- It is much more difficult to get working than drive sharing, but can be done more or less. In some cases, you lose some functionality when printing across different environments.
