Someone may correct me, but I believe that all epson inks, >other than the new Ultrachromes, and possibly the Durabright, are dye >based. From my reading of the MIS site, they say that Epson inks are compatible with MIS inks, because they have the same pH. They say that Lyson and Luminos are *not* compatible, because they have a different pH, which causes sludge when it encounters the MIS ink. There is nothing on the site that I have seen, that states that the UT inks or Eboni in particular, require different procedures from the other MIS inks when they are first installed. Have you found MIS to be overoptimistic in their claims? I take it you have learned from hard experience. If anyone else has information on this, I would appreciate hearing it. thanks, Richard -- photos: http://photos.smallfield.vze.com homepage: http://smallfield.vze.com favourite website: http://www.masters-of-photography.com/ "Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives." --John Stuart Mill
