I had the same problem with a 1200 and a 1270, but the 2200 is different in that is uses pigment inks rather than dye based. As a matter of fact both my 1200 and 1270 clogged on a regular basis even using the Epson inks. Great color gamut, but the cloggs made it more than they were worth. Since i purchased a 2200 I have never looked back. I also run a 3000 with MIS inks and dispite letting it sit powered off for weeks sometimes, it never takes more than one cleaning cycle to get it firing on all jets...I assume that you have also first hand experiance with the 2200 and MIS inks? If you have and have had problems with cloggs on the 2200 then I shall steer clear of them and follow you advice and purchase 7600 to refill from.
