Please don't base your decision to do or not do something on my
experiences. Likewise, don't base it on any other one person's
experience. Read and hear from everyone and make your own decision.
There are plenty of people who are very satisfied with their results
using various methods. There are also those who are less than satisfied
with some methods, and more satisfied with others. And then there are
those of us who have yet to get something completely satisfactory, but
keep working toward it because of the potential and convenience digital
imaging holds. Keep an open mind, read everything, and try the least
expensive means first and see how it goes for you. Then move on to
another method if that doesn't work for you. One thing I can tell you
is that there is plenty of room for variation in results, even with the
same exact hardware and software, so your results are very likely to be
not exactly the same as someone else's. As compared to me, that might
be a really good thing!
Thanks,
Ed
