I'm not sure what your problem with this cartridge resetter involves, but when I first used one I was unaware of the fact (no mention in instructions) that you have to push against the chip -- gently, the prongs will recede into the resetter -- to reset it and get the green light indicating that the cart has been reset. I discovered this fact by accident.
