Rad, I had CIS on both a hex and quad machine. They worked fairly well with intermittent use without clogs for a year or so - then I started having a lot of "mystery" clogs on the hex K. Turns out the ink had gone bad and formed a goo blob inside the bottle. The lesson for me was that ALL ink systems can have goo problems if not used with fresh inks - that is within their recommended shelf life. I decided that for the amount of inks I use re-filling was not a big deal and I would be more attentive to the condition of the carts and the inks. Follow Paul's excellent hints for refilling below and it is a snap. I tend to get in a hurry and sloppy and get air bubbles. I fill two sets of carts to have one in reserve that has rested. There is a top-off refill system on my web page that may be an acceptable compromise: http://www.panoramacamera.us/m_topoff.html AZ At 02:45 AM 2/2/04 +0000, you wrote: >Thanks a bunch D, Tom, and Paul. > >Another question regarding the CFS.
