You are going to get a lot of answers to this question but I think for a wooden field camera based on cost and features you can't do much better than a Canham 4x5 wood field. It can take lenses from 75mm to 600mm. It light (6lbs) and sturdy. I think it looks really nice and there is a optional front standard that can take linhof boards. The customer service is great, you often get to talk to Keith Canham himself when you call. I think if you compare it to a Wisner you see that the Canham is much better built camera. The only wisner that compares is the pocket expedition. Both are about the same price ($2500). If you keep an eye out you can find Canham's used on Ebay. Can you tell that I like my Canham? I have Linhof technika IV as well but its nowhere near as versitile as the Canham and it weighs the same. good luck. karl
