Re: [Digital BW] Selling equipment

2004-02-09 by Jack M Kucy

I was concerned of the possibility of the identity theft, so when I
registered
with PayPal - I registered only the personal bank account. For most of my
expenditures I use my business account, so I keep on my private one only
enough money to pay my bills through PayPal with it. I have never been
able to get anywhere else for my offered items as much as at the EBay.
The most problems people create by themselves answering to the deluge
of false ebay emails asking for the confirmation of the passwords etc.
Right now the hackers use a legitimate addresses (like ebay.com) to
send their fraudulent emails. The real EBay NEVER asks for the details
through the emails. All the problems any of my friends had with the
EBay came this way - supplying the sensitive info directly to the thieves.
So be careful - but you may trust the EBay itself I would think.
Jack
