Digital BW, The Print

Hello.  I have an Epson 2200 and a Mac with OSX10.3.2

I have seen a few posts where people say that Eboni Black has a higher Dmax on EEM than 
Epson's MK.  This is true ONLY for EEM?

Can one substitue just Epson's MK cartridge for Eboni Black and make B&W and color 
prints without substituting the rest of Epson's color cartridges?  If one can leave the Eboni 
Black for making color prints with the rest of the Epson color cartridges, then new paper 
profiles are needed?
