Hi Jerome, Solux lamps provide excellent high quality light (solux.net). I use them. The bulbs are available in a variety of color temperatures and beam widths. Most galleries use halogen lighting, so, if you exhibit, this is probably a good color temperature choice for evaluating prints and a nice midground between daylight and incandescent. It can also be argued that the industry standard of 5000K is the way to go, but this is less important to an artist doing his/her own work (me thinks).
