Finally got this working! Thanks for the comments. My even bigger challenge was finally clearing a clog in my 1280. I could not get consistant nozzle checks to save my life, no matter what trick or cleaning procedure I tried. Based on something I read on another site, I bought a fresh set of Epson ink cartridges ($50 ouch), and put them in the printer. Ran a few cleaning cycles, and, almost like magic, the clogs disappeared. I replaced my UT2 inks, and it works like a dream. I write this here in case anyone in the future is looking for a fix, and stumbles on this post. As to QTR and Linux, I wish we had a seperate forum for this software. Also, as to the helpful pdf file with directions- the screen captures from Linux have changed somewhat, and could probably stand to be updated. For instance, using Webmin, I could not pick the QTR driver. I had go into a KDE print manager, where it was pretty simple to accomplish. Webmin is probably not even needed. Also, the .pdf instructions assume your using a non-KDE file manager when you are executing the Run-Quad-Profile- I was not able to execute within KDE, but, you can just run the command on the command line, and it will ask you to type in what profile you want to use. I'd be glad to update this document, if it would be helpful to anyone...
