Digital BW, The Print

Does anybody know of a film scanner in which the film
holder can be modified to scan the entire frame of
film with the black borders?

My darkroom days were filled with filed negative
carriers - as I prefer the look of printing the
unexposed film edges.

Oh, and the photoshop plugins that simulate the look
are a bit cheesy.

So, I am looking for a dedicated film scanner that
will provide at least a 26x38 read area.  Have any of
you filed or altered your film scanners to do this?
