Hi Bob,

Since you mentioned the CoolScan 9000 I'm assuming you're interested 
in scanning medium format negatives and slides.  Having an interest 
in doing the same, I picked-up a 4870 about 2 weeks ago and am very 
pleased with the results.  I have a 35mm neg/slide scanner, so I'm 
using it almost exclusively for medium format, however, with a fair 
amount of Unsharp mask in Photoshop it does a satisfactory job with 
35mm slides as well.  DigitalICE is phenominal and has already saved 
me several hours of clean-up in Photoshop.  Overall, a great scanner 
at a great price!

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
