You borrowed a translation I made of the first magazine article on the 4000 in the Dutch magazine Grafisch Weekblad that I send to this list. So did probably ten other site owners that are offering Epson news. Grafisch Weekblad that made the original text has the copyright, to set the record straight. So I didn't complain. The offender(s) you are now confronted with do almost the same as you did but they do not move the pics but give their customers the info where to look. Much more civil in a way. Like farmers in the UK that let the pilgrims (and now nature lovers) tresspass their land to the holy places. Costs some bandwidth and your memory on the site but saves a lot of memory all over the world. Best thing would be that we all link to the originals on Epson's sites. Maybe we should complain that others link to that too, I don't think Epson has a problem with it though. > Your point is a valid one since I was sent much of the original info 'non-attributed'. That must have included my translation but I didn't do it :-) > A modest ripost against the trader is far less than I might have considered if it had been > original works - this is a serious problem for some photographers, particularly if your web > server does not support anti-linking measures. But did that happen ? > I hope the example can help others facing similar problems with their content... I would suggest to take it less seriously given the underlying facts. By the time you get your 4000 you can still do what the gentleman did with the router. That will scare them off. BTW, I never did what the offender(s) did nor did I borrow images from others to make a site. I have translated parts of German and Dutch texts for the lists, mentioning the source plus an apology for breaking copyrights. If I'm guilty it was for a common cause. Pointing a finger is not in my nature but hypocrisy can become too irritating. Ernst
