Hi, Don. I thought I had that book but now can't find it...must have left a
big impression, or I might have loaned it out. Anyhoo...in the context of
split-filtering as in the darkroom, it's pretty easy using history brush in
Photoshop. For example, you can change the contrast globally with a curve,
save as a snapshot, delete the contrast history, and paint in what you want
with history brush. Same thing with selective sharpening, especially easy
with PhotoKit sharpener. Like the darkroom, a little goes a long way.
