Derry, Load the epson carts first - if for no other reason than to know that your printer is indeed working. The durabrite inks and MIS EZ inks are compatible without any cleaning voodoo rituals. I experienced no clogs or misfortune when using MIS EZN after printing with the Durabrite inks. As the C84 is a lower model the tolerances are not as high as say the 2200 or 4000. My first C84 was DOA straight from the box.
