Re: [Digital BW] C84 $50+$20...but where's the other $20?/OT

Here's my coupon story of the day: I went like any normal person on
this list, through the OD website to order this "thing", after so
much praising around here.

Following the steps for purchase I tried to apply online the coupon
for the $20 rebate over $75. Returned an error stating that the
"amount of purchase is not over $75" even if evidently it is! Ok,
then I tried to do a "store pick-up" since it's in my way this
weekend, and got a "out-of-stock" message. Ok, I went back to my
cart, which at this point is... "empty"!! Totally hilarious!
Then I tried to contact OD online through their "live chat" but that
is "dead" on arrival at least in my 3 attempts with 3 latest version
browsers, Java enabled and during their stated online chat hours!
At last I sent them an email message re. these issues... no purchase
so far!!
... so, conclusion, huge company, crappy website, no business from me
to you! [unless I get this item for free :)]

PS - and since I'm in venting mode, one issue with this group: is it
possible to remove the permanent "rules" attachment from these posts
such as we save some storage space? I know it's possible, since I run
a couple of these groups as admin myself and really don't see any
purpose for this extra file size on every message! This message can
be programmed to be sent out on a weekly or monthly basis, not with
every single message posted! Please! Not only loads everybodys' mail
boxes, but reduces the amount of useful info that can be stored in
this allocated group space by Yahoo!

Re the USB question below, yes, the normal cables are A>B where A is
the connector to the PC, B is a smaller squarish plug for the
printer. "A"s can be female or male types. And yes, USB 1.1 is faster
than the parallel port on W98 or other systems.

Sorry about the rant above...
