I have never dry mounted and use the photo corners. The photo corners are great for mounting prints and a lot cheaper than purchasing a dry mount setup. Good luck! However, it was really the only way to keep the images flat enough. One of the advantages with "carbon on cotton" digital printing is that it was not process in water, so it's not nearly as wavy. Also, with matte paper it doesn't matter if it's not totally flat. The matte finish behind glass simply does not show the slight waviness that may still be there. This allows me to just tape-hand the paper behind an over-mat. (Some use corners to hold the print with success.) I use the hinged Light Impressions Exeter Conservation Board (Gallery white). I like the archival foam board as a backing. At any rate, I like quick and easy, and this is considerably easier than dry mounting and looks just as good. What to use? Hi, I'm sort of new to the whole digital printing arena. I use to dry-mount my traditional B&W prints but I have a feeling that it would probably not work for inkjet prints. What can you recommend I use to mount cotton, matte paper (like the Epson Ultrasmoot/Scrapbook) and glossy prints (like the HP Premiup Plus)? Oh yes, and I'd like to be archival.
