RE: [Digital BW] 1270, 1200 or 1160 and MIS VM ink?

I would see the difference then. I am very picky and can easily see the
dots on my color 1160. Would your 1280 curves work on the 1270 as well?
If not, are you going to release 1270 curves? I do not have a 1280, but
a 1270. I am curious as to what most are using with these inks, besides
you. Four or six inks?

Thanks

The 1280 is probably the best of the bunch. I can measure the
differences,
but most do not see any differences in normal viewing circumstances.
Some
do see the 1160 dots on very close examination. The 1280, on the other
hand
is the smoothest I've measured.

I use the 1160 and find it so good I have no incentive to buy a new
printer.
Part of my like for the 4-inker is that it's that much easier to mix new
brews for. However, even if I was not into mixing inks, I find the
quality
so good I have no interest in switching. The 1160 is a terrific
machine, in
my view.
