Digital BW, The Print

Check out www.resellerratings.com- it's a useful site to avoid internet scams, in general if the pricing sounds too good to be true,
there is a bait and switch behind it. I see B&H rated at 8.57 (lifetime rating) and Adorama at 7.19- this pretty much reflects my
experience with both which is why I tend to use the former.Interestingly enough and for the sake of objectivity, I see that Adorama
scored higher for replacements and returns, I never had any issues with B&H, however, if you are patient enough to skim through
the customer comments, some of them tell you as much about the author as they do about the seller.

  I live in southwestern rural Quebec and am a commercial photographer. About a one and a half hour drive from Montreal. Where do I get my supplies? Vistek in Toronto and B&H in NY. Are they less expensive than local dealers? Monetarily no, but in terms of having a professional staff who can get me what I want yesterday (or today at the very latest), they are the most economical and reliable on the east coast (time IS money . . . at least in the business world). The only thing that comes to my mind about some people feeling a little "jerked around" by B&H is that they ARE in NYC, and this is not an insult to New Yorkers, but those who are used to dealing with mom and pop elsewhere are in for a rude shock when they deal with high speed New Yorkers . . . they tend to be a little "rough around the edges" . . . so what? Want your back stroked while you whine away? order it locally at 30% higher price and take a three week coffee break while you wait for it to arrive.
