What printing service houses would anyone recommend to do large 36" (long dimension) from black and white files I would scan myself? These are for an important eshibition, and need to be very well done, archival. Ideally with an inks system that would produce no metamerism, neutral. Six editions of six prints each. I am considering purchasing a printer to do the work myself, but this must work out properly. Can anyone comment on whether there is a system (printer, RIP, inks, paper) that someone with a good deal of photographic and digital experience could master by late December(exhibit in March) that might be an alternative to an expensive house such as Nash Edition or such, who I am sure could perform the work? Also, any recommendations of other houses to check? This is a job that is definitely happening. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim Wiseman also CC: jimwiseman@...
