Three defective pixels is not acceptable on a display, especially given the price of most flat-panel displays. One of the two $300 LCD displays I have has a dead pixel. The other one originally had a dead pixel, but it went away. I don't use them for critical work, but for an expensive, critical display, I want a commitment to zero defective pixels. I know it can be done, so no excuse is acceptable.
