Strange that the vendors of these systems don't offer a rebuild kit, 
like you say, a kit for $35 with all the needed parts, would probably 
get purchased a lot more often then a whole system.  Now if only someone 
would make one of these systems for my HP.......  All you would need is 
a cartridge with more long-term heads, the rest would be the same as the 
  Epsons, maybe?

What would be nice is a system built into the printer, so you just need 
to replace the ink bottles......

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
