personally I don't usually print from 1200 or 1600dpi 400+mb image files to
make a 360dpi 11x14 print - so yes, I generally downsample and then sharpen
after that (usually using an edge sharpening tool rather than just PS
unsharp mask).

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
