I'm a recent convert to QTR (and love it so far). I use a 2200 (with mk inkset) on a WinXP platform. There are limited tone curves available and it seems many papers are not yet supported. I have printed a fair amount on EpEnhMatte, but would like to use other matte papers for which no tone curve exists (at least in the v2.1b download from Roy's site). I was wondering what the results would be like if you printed on another matte paper, such as Moab Entrada Bright White or Somerset Photo Enhanced Radiant White, using the EpEnhMatte profiles? I am assuming there will be differences in both tonal response, Dmax, and color when changing from one paper to another. When printing color images, I know there can be significant differences between papers, but I thought perhaps these differences might be more subdued with B&W or toned B&W. Any suggestions on how I can get good results without custom tone curves for these papers? Or how I can create my own tone curves? (I have a spectro and PM5). Or, is there a repository of tone curves available somewhere? Thanks.....and Merry Christmas! Lou
