In most of the printers I've used over the last year or so the Epson MK had a slightly higher dmax, but the MIS Eboni looked darker due to the more neutral tone. (In the 4000 test strips I've seen, the difference appears to be too much for the more neutral tone to overcome.) Hope this helps.
