Digital BW, The Print

hi all

just a quick note to say I've been lurking around here for a while and
purchased my 'end system' the other day... an epson 4000 with
ultrachrome inks.

Not having a darkroom myself, I've always been dissatisfied with
prints from 'pro' darkroom printers... they never seem to see things
the way I do. Last night I sent some b/w images through through the
printer using the standard epson printer driver, expecting mediocre
results as I'm waiting for a profile for my paper set-up (h-photo
rag)... I was blown away by the results! The images were stunning I
finally have full control over my workflow. I'm looking forward to
checking out Quadtone RIP and getting involved in the discussions here
and participating in print exchanges (for constructive crit).
