Great, that answers my biggest concern. Now I just need to know about this one for step # 7. Instructions read.....7. Now you are back at the image file you had originally opened. Go to View, Proof Setup, Custom. The new curve you made should be in the list, probably at the bottom –Select it. Then check "Preserve Color Numbers." The image on the monitor should then look like it did while you were making the curve. Hit OK. My questions is, I am unable to check "preserve color number" because it is grayed out. Am I doing something wrong? Also, what should the intent be set to...perceptual, absolute colorimetric or one of the other? And for anyone that has not tried this profiling method, you should try it because it is saving me from buying an expensive calibration device and I am not waisting paper any more. THANK YOU PAUL FOR GIVING US THIS VALUABLE PIECE OF INFORMATION. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul Roark" <paul.roark@v...> wrote: > The procedure for profiling the monitor is at > http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/Monitor-Profiling.htm . > > Marcus, I have not had time to look at the questions you asked.
