Is this a possibility? I've just been accepted for a solo exhibition and I am needing a high quality BW printing option. I've considered the 2200 with QTR, as I can just utilize the epson carts and print color when needed. Unfortunately, I rarely print larger than 6x9 and commonly print 4x6 so I need a high level of resolution to match my wet prints. Accordingly, the 2200 would be a large chunk of cash to print 4x6's. I've used and sold a C86 with the EZN inks. I am a mac user, and for some reason the driver did not provide acceptable results. When used with a mac, I would get something similar to banding - but it was as if the printhead was scraping the paper. With a PC, I never could make this happen. Also, I've used and closeted an HP 7660 with the #59 cartidge. It's a good system, but the premium plus matte paper has a distinct white color base that I find unacceptable. So, I've tried it all. I like the capabilities of the R800, but would like to make a neutral BW print on matt papers. It seems the red and blue carts will provide an excellent color mixing option for QTR, but has anyone tried it? As the R1800 is coming, I'm sure this combination will be highly successful. Thanks in advance, Don
