UT Inks - long term color stability question

2005-03-12 by Phil Morse

I have had an 1160 CIS with UT inks idle for about one year. I just
started using it again and stepwedges show a noticeable midtone green
cast. Otherwise all else is amazingly good. I am using same test
stepwedge files as previously and I think the same workflow. Except
for the cast the wedges and a couple of prints look great.

Is there a possibility that the inks have changed color in some way?

Phil Morse

PS: Before anyone asks, I print a nozzle check weekly, shake the
bottles monthly, and the printer sits on a cabinet with another
heavily used 1160 which keeps it moving regularly. The curved wedges
were a set I used back when my output was very neutral.
