Richard, I have had serious paper feed problems with my R800, to the point where I am sorry I bought it. I have found that the problems tend to be minimized when there is a substantial stack of paper in the feed slot. I am not sure if that will help with your problem, but it does seem to minimize, if not eliminate feed issues.
