Just coincidence, but this morning I was trying to get my 1280 back online (I think my USB cable may be bad after reloading the driver and still no success) and the several posts this morning have covinced me to really 'retire' it. I was contemplating trying some MIS carts, but now I think I will stick with the 2200 which I like very much. I had not had too many problems with it with OEM inks, but had only kept it going to be able to print once a week or so (until recently) just to keep it unclogged. I never print with it--if I want a glossy one off for a client, I just print on my husband's networked 875, so was glad to read that others just didn't feel it worthwhile to deal with the 1280 as a pigmented printer. I had spent time on the MIS page this morning trying to decide the best way to go---but now--its moot. I get continual bad clogs even with the new carts. The other inks are not nearly as bad. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
