Hi all, I have been searching and searching to try and work out the best way to go to start quality B&W printing I have made my decision mostly but I need a little extra help... My system will be an A3 printer, with to start with MIS Eboni black inks with the OEM colour inks that come with the printer printing Black Only until I can afford another A3 Printer to dedicate to colour (Probably an Epson R1800 if it works out well for colour), then I will turn my origional printer to a B&W outfit using MIS Ultratone Inks. Here is my questions, if I put a cartridge of MIS Eboni Black into the Printer (Epson) will it still work for colour images if I use the OEM inks and this new black? Can I get a set of UT inks (6 or 7) and swap them over when I need to print colour (will the carts keep or dry up out of the printer)? My final and most important question is which printer to go for, I am stumped between 2 both Epson's; either the 2200 or the 1280 most people tell me that there isn't much noticeable difference in the output between the 2, is this correct? If it is then I will go for the 1280, I know that the dpi of the 2200 is higher than that of the 1280 but as most of my images are worked on at between 300 or 600 (onscreen) will I see any difference? Thanks in advance - I'm almost there!! Cheers Paul
