I'm not sure what "instant dry means" but I am satisfied if overnight drying is included. I haven't tried the Smooth Pearl though I just bought some, but - OEM Epson C80 pigment ink dries smudge-free on Ilford's Classic Pearl as well - I've printed out enough to determine that. Come to think of it, | the Epson pigments have always been better on glossy papers. The | 2000P prints on Epson Luster. | | Jeff, | Epson Colorlife=Ilford Classic, very interesting. I compared B&W and | color prints on these papers and it looks like you are right. The | main difference is price. The Ilford Classic can be as low as | $.40/sheet in a 250 box and the Colorlife is almost twice that. My | wife and I thought we could detect a slight difference in texture, | but it's hard to say. | | Julian and anyone using sprays to eliminate drying/bronzing problems, | I guess I'll look for the Krylon Crystal Clear UV. The Lyson | Printguard says to let the print dry first and that could be a long | time. Any other suggestions and sources are appreciated. | Thanks, Hap | | | | Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, Bookmarks, Polls and other resources as they are often being updated.
