There's a fellow named Ernst Dinka, who uses Vuescan in his printing business. He's pretty knowledgable about the software and has answered a lot of questions about the software. He generally posts on the Yahoo 4870 group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/epson4870/ You might try posting the question there, it's a pretty liberal group with many questions about scanners other than the Epson family.
