I would wait if you can and listen to more feedback on the 2400. You won't have to wait long. If the new Epson inks live up to the hype re gloss differential and bronzing (ie significant improvement) you will likely want to stay with them until there is a clone of at least similar quality so that you can explore both matte and photo paper without frustration. Even if the Epson driver doesn't live up to expectations, if the new inks do then the 2400 will still be worthwhile because not long after it is supported by Gimp Roy Harrington will likely have it up and running for QTR. In short, it's all about the inks. If the inks don't pass muster then the 2200 is fine with alternate inks. > From: gradyvillejb <jb1@...> > Reply-To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Date: Fri, 20 May 2005 16:50:20 -0000 > To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Subject: [Digital BW] Newby post: 2200 w/ UT7 quadrip or new R2400 > > Which is the way to go for output of best B&W prints?
