Hi Paul,

Digital Outback Photo is run by Uwe Steinmueller and his wife 
Bettina. They live in the SF Bay area near San Jose (just North of 
you) and have been very active in promoting digital photography, 
printing and workflow since the "early days".

Uwe has been an energetic advocate for digital through his Website 
and participation in many forums and workshops. Over the years, his 
Website has grown to contain a great deal of valuable information (as 
you mentioned) and is also a platform for marketing a number of 
products including his own e-books, actions, workshops, etc.
