[Digital BW] Re: MIS FSN inks with QTR

2005-05-31 by Johnny Eades

Paul,

Thanks for the solution to my dilemma on whether to start using this
old inkset or not. Since I am on the "Thrifty" side (cheap), I don't
like to throw anything away till I have to. Now let me go fill those
really wonderful spongeless MIS carts and fire up QTR and the
densitometer and use up the rest of the day learning something new.
Since the inkset is "Neutral" I think I'll only need one 100% paper
curve. I aplogize for not sticking with your curves for BW because
you have and continue to do soooooo much for the BW community. It has
really opened my eyes on how many people have the passion for BW as I
do. The UT2 inks for my Epson 1280 would not have been created by
someone less passionate about photography as you have been. I think
everyone here has a deep sense of gratitude for you Paul. Again,
thank you very much for your dedication to the art.
.

Your friend in Photography,

Johnny

PS

Now if I can only get my printer to stop making scratches on the
faces of the images, I'll be a happy camper. Those dotted scratches
always seem to fall in the same place. I've used a toothbrush to
clean those wheels every time before printing and sometimes it works
and sometimes it doesn't.
