A while back I ordered a package of Kirkland Glossy from MIS just to see what all the fuss was about. It's a nice paper, with little gloss differential but quite bad bronzing (color shifts to bronze-like color when held at an angle). With UT7, PKN and 60% GLOP the bronzing is totally gone and I can only see a little reduction in gloss in totally black areas. Today I got a package of Ilford Smooth gloss at the local photo store and by all appearances it's the exact same paper. I made two prints with the same image printed twice on each, one with GLOP and one without, and they look identical. Are the two papers the same? I see Ilford is only rating the paper at 30 years for pigment inks, not what I would consider archival. -- Daniel Staver http://daniel.staver.no
