Daniel,
This sounds like a problem I had a month or so back.  I had a cyan 
airbrush-like edge next to the top and left of each image about a 
1/4" wide.  I hope your solution is as simple as mine.  I had left 
the paper thickness switch under the cover of my 1270 on + for thick 
paper.
