Look, I wasn't talking about raw capabilities. I was talking about OBE - Out of the Box Experience. QTR is very cool, but the documentation and "trimmings" has a long way to go. I read of different profiling methods (densitometer, i1, scanner), but no detailed system requirements for each of the methods. Terminology is bandied about without explanation. File formats, etc. I'v asked just a few questions on the QTR forum and received 0 responses. Is there a centralized repository of paper/ink profiles? Why not? Epson UC and MIS (UT7?) seem the dominant ink sets. Not so onerous to provide more profiles for more papers with these ink sets. I've spent a career shipping commercial software. Writing the code isn't nearly 1/2. the game. Again, OBE - I was just congratulating Paul on a pleasant OBE for his C86 + Espson Driver + Sliders package by comparison.
