Re: [Digital BW] MIS cartridges - prefilled vs do-it-yourself

2005-08-11 by kfseefeldt

I just filled a set of the MIS spongeless carts for a 1280 with MIS
Pigment Color inks and found it quite easy. In an hour and a half I
went from unpacking the materials to filling the carts to inspecting
the first 8x10 test print. Sure beat the pants off the CIS system I
was farting around with for months and never actually got to work all
that well.

With the spongeless carts, I ran two cleaning cycles and printed a
small purge print, resulting in a perfect nozzle check and great test
print.

Though there was one comment that there may be sealing issues with
these, I haven't noticed any problems. I'd recommend this method.

Hope this helps.
