Digital BW, The Print

I am hoping someone on the list can give me some suggestions on a
feed 
error on a 1200. The power and feed light are flashing, there is no 
paper or a jam. The seller said they used it just prior to shipping, 
but it has done this from the time I plugged  it in. Anyone know of a 
way to clear this ,short of sending it to epson?  thanks Dan
